Physical Requirements for DSSSB Various Posts 2025
|
For ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT Post
Physical Standard (for males):
- Height: 165 cms,
- Chest: Minimum 81 cms – 85 cms (with minimum of 4 cms expansion).
Physical Standard (for females):
Height: 157 cms
Physical Endurance Test (PET) (for male):
1600 meters race in 06 (six) minutes and 30 seconds
Note: Those who qualify in the race shall be further eligible to appear in the following tests:
i. High jump – 3 Feet 6 Inches (To be achieved in any one of the three chances that will be given)
ii. Broad jump / Long jump – 13.0 Feet (To be achieved in any one of the three chances that will be given)
Physical Endurance Test (PET) (for female):
800 meters race in 4 (four) minutes and 30 seconds.
Note: Those who qualify in the race shall be further eligible to appear in the following tests:-
i. High jump – 3.00 feet (To be achieved in any one of the three chances that will be given).
ii. Broad Jump / Long Jump – 9.0 feet (To be achieved in any one of the three chances that will be given).
Medical Standard:
i. The minimum distant vision should be 6/6 in better eye and 6/12 in the worse eye, without glasses. The candidate should be free from colour blindness.
ii. The candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes.
iii. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any
physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
FOR FOREST GUARD Post
Physical Standards:
Male Candidates – Height 163 cms
Chest 84 cms
Expansion 5 cms.
Female Candidates – Height 150 cms
Chest 79 cms, Expansion 5 cms.
Minimum height Standards for ST candidates and races such as Assamese, Bhutanese, Garwalies, Gorkhas, Kumaonise Ladakhese, Mizo, Naga, Nepalese, Sikkimiese and those from Arunachal Pradesh, Lahaul & Spiti, Megalaya:
Male 152 cms
Female 140 cms
Note: Male and female candidates must pass a physical test covering a distance of 25 and 16 KM respectively on foot, in four hours.

How to Apply for DSSSB Various Posts 2025
|
| (1) Candidates need to visit the official website of the DSSSB https://dsssbonline.nic.in or the link given in the link section.
(2)The candidates must go through the INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING ONLINE carefully while filling up the Online Application Form for the post concerned.
(3) The candidates must submit their application through the Online Mode only. No other mode of application shall be accepted. Applications received through any other mode, i.e. by post/by hand/by mail, etc., will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
(4) The opening date for submission of online application is 18/08/2025 (from 12.00 Noon). The closing date for submission of the online application is 16/09/2025 (11:59 PM).
(5) Candidates are advised in their interest to submit the online application much before the closing date and not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/ inability or failure to log in to the Board’s website on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days. DSSSB will not be responsible for the candidates not being able to submit their applications within the stipulated time limit for any reason(s) stated to be beyond their control.
(6) Before submission of the online application, candidates must check and ensure that they have filled correct details in each field of the online application form. Once the online application form is submitted, no request for change/ correction/ modification (including change of category) will be entertained or allowed under any circumstances. Request received in this regard in any form, like Post, Fax, Email, by hand, etc., shall not be entertained, and no correspondence will be made in this regard. Candidates will be responsible for any mistakes in the data of the application form and the fee paid by him/her.
