Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Eligibility Criteria

Science Subjects- Candidates should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR

Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognised Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).
OR
Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognised by central, State and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

Other than Science Subjects- Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/ subjects from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR

Indian Air Force Agniveer Vayu Medical Standards

Chest-

• For Male Candidates- The chest wall should be well proportioned and well developed. Minimum chest
  circumference should be 77 cms and the chest expansion should be atleast 05 cms.
• For Female Candidates. The chest wall should be well proportioned and should be with minimum range of expansion of 05 cms. Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cm, and chest expansion must be at least 05 cm.

Hearing- Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.

Dental- Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

General Health- Candidates should be fit for the Air Force, must conform to the medical standards. Candidates should be of normal anatomy without loss or deformity of any appendages. He/she should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection, and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Gender- Any candidate if found to have predominant characteristics of the opposite gender as evident on external physical examination, will be rejected as Unfit. Any candidate having undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared Unfit.

Gynaecological Examination (For female candidates)– The examination covers external genitalia, hernia orifices and the perineum, any evidence of stress urinary incontinence or genital prolapse outside introitus.

Pregnancy (For female candidates)- Any candidate, if found pregnant shall be disqualified and her candidature will be rejected.

Height & Visual Standards- Visual standards and minimum acceptable height for Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant (Pharmacist) for recruitment are as follows:-

Note: For Female candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 cms will be accepted. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 cms.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)- Names of the shortlisted candidates, who qualify the online test, shall be displayed on the CASB Web Portal www.airmenselction.cdac.in and on a stipulated date shall be called at the designated ASC for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test I & II. PFT consists of two parts i.e., PFT-I & PFT-II

PFT-I Candidates have to complete a 1.6 km run as per the following timing to qualify for PFT-I:-

(B) During online registration, the following documents are to be uploaded as applicable by respective candidates:-
1. Class 10th/ matriculation passing certificate.

2. Chosen Domicile Certificate/COAFP Certificate
3. Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent marks sheet.

3 Yrs Engineering Diploma Final Year Marks sheet (if applying based on 3 Yrs Engineering Diploma from a Govt. recognised polytechnic in the prescribed stream) and Intermediate/ Matriculation marks sheet (if English is not a subject in Diploma Course).

OR
2 Yrs Vocational Course marks sheets of non-vocational course with subjects English, Physics, and Mathematics.

4. Passport size recent colour photograph (taken not before June 2025) of size 10 KB to 100 KB (front portrait in light background without facemask and headgear except for Sikhs). The photographs is to be taken with the candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters. Change in appearance, like a growing beard, headgear etc., in comparison to the photographs may result in cancellation of candidature for STAR online examination and Phase-II.
5. Candidate’s left hand thumb impression image (Size 10 KB to 100 KB).
6. Candidate’s signature image (Size 10 KB to 100 KB).
7. Candidate’s parent’s (Father/ Mother)/ Guardian’s signature image (if candidate is below 18 years on the date of filling the online application).
