Age Limits As of

For candidates with 10+2:

  • Minimum Age: NA
  • Maximum Age: 21 Years
  • The candidate should be unmarried and born between 02 July 2005 and 02 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).

For candidates with a Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy:

  • Minimum Age: NA 
  • Maximum Age: 24 Years
  • Unmarried candidates should be born between 02 July 2002 and 02 July 2007 (both dates inclusive). Married candidates should be born between 02 July 2002 and 02 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).

Indian Air Force Group Y Eligibility Criteria

1. Candidate should have passed 10+2/ Intermediate/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State, and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English.
OR
Should have passed two years’ Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State, and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.2. Candidate with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy. Candidate should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. In addition, Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with valid registration from the State Pharmacy Council or the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment will be a mandatory requirement.

Indian Air Force Group Y Salary Details

Salary: During training, a stipend of ₹14,600/- per month shall be paid. On completion of training, the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of the scale of pay, including Military Service Pay (MSP) are ₹26,900/- per month. In addition, dearness allowances (as applicable), which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.

Indian Air Force Group Y Medical Standards

Weight- Weight should be proportionate to height and age as applicable for IAF.

Chest- Minimum chest circumference should be 77 cm, and chest expansion must be at least 05 cm.

Hearing- Candidate should have normal hearing, i.e., able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately.

Dental- Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.

General Health- Candidates should be fit for the Air Force, must conform to the medical standards. Candidates should be of normal anatomy without loss or deformity of any appendages. He should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability or communicable disease, infection, and skin ailments. Candidate shall be physically and mentally FIT to perform duty in any part of the world, in any climate and terrain.

Gender- Any candidate found to have predominant characteristics of the opposite gender as evident on external physical examination will be rejected as Unfit. Any candidate who has undergone gender reassignment surgery will be declared Unfit.

Height & Visual Standards- Visual standards and minimum acceptable height for Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant (Pharmacist) for recruitment are as follows:-

Indian Air Force Group Y Selection Process

  • Phase I
  • Phase II

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)- Names of the shortlisted candidates, who qualify the online test, shall be displayed on the CASB Web Portal www.airmenselction.cdac.in and on a stipulated date shall be called at the designated ASC for Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Test I & II. PFT consists of two parts i.e., PFT-I & PFT-II

PFT-I Candidates have to complete a 1.6 km run as per the following timing to qualify for PFT-I:-

1.6 Km run Within seven minutes Within seven minutes and 30 seconds

PFT-II Candidates who qualify for PFT-I are to undergo PFT-II after 10 minutes of recuperation time. The sequence of exercises and maximum period are as follows:-

How to Apply for Indian Air Force Group Y Recruitment 2025

(A) Go to the official website of www.airmenselection.cdac.in. or the link given in the link section.

(B) During online registration, the following documents are to be uploaded as applicable by respective candidates:-
1. Class 10th/ matriculation passing certificate.
2. Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent Examination marks sheet with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State, and UT with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English.
OR
Two years vocational Course marks sheets of non-vocational subjects, i.e., Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, from the Education Board recognised by Central, State, and UT with a minimum 50% marks in aggregate and with 50% marks in English.
3. Candidate with Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy. Mark sheet of Diploma/ B.Sc in Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
4. Passport size recent colour photograph (taken not before June 2025) of size 10 KB to 100 KB (front portrait in light background without
facemask and headgear except for Sikhs). The photographs is to be taken with the candidate holding a black slate in front of his chest with his name and date of photograph taken, clearly written on it with white chalk in capital letters. Change in appearance, like a growing beard, headgear etc., in comparison to the photographs may result in cancellation of candidature for STAR online examination and Phase-II.
5. Candidate’s left hand thumb impression image (Size 10 KB to 100 KB).
6. Candidate’s signature image (Size 10 KB to 100 KB).
7. Candidate’s parent’s (Father/ Mother)/ Guardian’s signature image (if candidate is below 18 years on the date of filling the online application).
